The Lower Highland Urban Village Neighborhood

The Denver Cottages are located in lower highlands neighborhood, immediately northwest of downtown, and are one of the more exciting neighborhoods in the downtown denver area.

The Mulberry and Willow Cottages are just across the bridges from Riverfront Park, perched at the bottom of the hill west of I-25.

There are several ways to access downtown from the cottage: a path just down 36th ave that is great for walking or biking as well as a pedestrian bridge between 20th Street bridge and 15th Street bridge. These paths and bridges connect the neighborhood to the 16th Street Mall and Commons Park.

Enjoy the easy walkability of this neighborhood, stroll across the pedestrian bridge to downtown and have no concerns for parking. Don't forget to check out what is happening on this side of the bridge thought, the neighborhood is plentiful with restaurants, coffee shops and night life:

The townsite of Highland was laid out in December 1858 by William Larimer, Jr., who the previous month had founded Denver City.

In 1859 the Highland town company formed, and a Platte River bridge was planned to connect to Auraria and Denver.
